foundation EDITEDThe design of a foundation support system requires not only an evaluation of the subsurface soil conditions, but also an evaluation of the type and loading condition of the proposed structure. Structures can tolerate varying degrees of movement which often allows a shallow spread footing foundation system to be utilized which can be much more economical than a deep pile foundation system. It is our experience and practice in the evaluation of foundation systems for a particular structure to establish the criteria of the structure and to design a foundation investigation system to meet the needs of the structural system. With internal structural/geotechnical experience, we can offer targeted guidance not available from practitioners of solely geotechnical engineering.
