Project Description

Marine Lubricants supplies specialized lubricants to ships anchored in the Christina River and Delaware River. In 2011, an approximately 3500 square foot section of Marine Lubricants’ wharf, collapsed into the Christina River bringing operations at Marine Lubricants and on the Christina River to a halt. The timely repair of the wharf and operational restoration was critical. After evaluating the remaining structure and subsurface conditions reconstruction of the entire wharf was recommended. Duffield Associates led the permitting, demolition, and reconstruction efforts. Traffic on the Christina River was quickly restored and the project was completed in record time and within budget.
