With so many Blue Hen Alumni on staff, Duffield takes great pride in being part of the University of Delaware’s historically large 272-acre transformation of a former automobile manufacturing site which is presently a driver for the school’s expansion as a bio-research innovation hub. The Science, Technology and Advance Research Campus today is a bright contrast from the dormant facility which the University first acquired. From the beginning, Duffield assisted the University in assessing soil and groundwater conditions and implementing the cleanup of the former facility. Duffield also provided site planning and the design and construction monitoring of many of the buildings constructed on the site. Collectively Duffield’s contributions have helped the University achieve its vision for the vibrant campus that STAR is becoming today.
