Coastal Services

Our coastal communities are densely populated, with over 50% of the nation’s population on 20% of its landmass. From 1970 to 2010, coastal populations increased by 39% and this trend has continued. Producing more than $9 trillion in goods and services, our coastal communities represent a vital component of the national economy. Faced with the challenges posed by sea level rise, more frequent and intense storms, and population growth, a comprehensive approach to coastal planning and adaptation is imperative for the long-term survival of our coastal communities.

With a team of over 350 engineers, scientists, and planners in 24 offices across 12 states, our NECS platform of companies is poised to solve these challenges with you. We offer a full range of comprehensive coastal services:

Developing solutions to protect people, ecosystems, and infrastructure from the threats of sea level rise, greater flooding, extreme weather conditions, and natural disasters.
  • Environmental Permitting, Compliance and Monitoring
Navigating the complex regulatory process with ease to make your project a reality.
  • Dredging and Sediment Management
Maintaining our coastal waterways at ports, harbors and marinas while providing sustainable, beneficial use of materials.
