Water / Wastewater Engineering

The Ancient Romans understood the value of plentiful clean water and used engineering to leverage an empire. Engineering innovators such as Joseph Bazalgette in the mid 1800s, as documented in “The Big Stink”, realized the spread of plague (cholera) was really a waste water problem and designed the first large scale waste water system. Water and waste water engineers literally make civilization as we know it possible and do such a great job that nobody notices (until there is a problem). Duffield is proud to continue in this honorable service.
